If I had to describe myself in a few words, I’d say I am a storyteller, data analyst and designer.

But really, my passion lies within the intersection of marketing, data and design; my passion is to create authentic and impactful stories for brands, products and people through data-driven content and design. Below are some projects I’ve worked on in the past related to UX design, data visualization, and brand marketing. Boostcamp App, 2020 (On-going)

Boostcamp is an iOS and Android fitness app offering free beginner programs designed by highly-credentialed coaches. The app quickly gained 5,000+ organic users within 2 months of launch. I led all design-related work at Boostcamp, which includes designing the logo, all user interfaces of the app, as well as the website. I also hand-drew illustrations used within the UI design and for brand marketing purposes.

I am a founding team member at YouWorld, a fintech startup that helps international retailers accept Chinese mobile payments via gift card rails, with $100MM+ in GMV since launch in April 2019. In addition to leading the marketing & business development team, I integrated knowledge I learned in my M.S. Business Analytics degree to design V1 of our operations data dashboard. The dashboard visualizes key transaction, user acquisition and retention data. I also coded a beta version of the dashboard on a Python notebook with metric calculations (packages used: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn).

Showffeur is a mobile application that combines ride hailing and personalized experiences and activities, connecting travelers with locals based on compatible travel habits and personality traits. The app started as a passion project to self-learn UIUX design on Sketch. The founder of the app is now raising seed funding in Singapore to develop a MVP based on the initial design.

YouWorld is a marketing-technology startup that connects brands with travel & lifestyle apps such as WeChat and Alipay to reach 135 million Chinese travelers globally. I worked internally with our product managers and data engineers and externally with our clients to determine key metrics that need to be included in the reports. Then, I designed the report layout on Sketch before sending it to the development team. The report is generated through YouWorld’s data portal and sent to advertising clients as an interactive dashboard. Product was discontinued in early 2019.
